The C&C Experiment was a once in a lifetime experience. Participants were tasting four different whiskies from one single cask. What? Yes, you read it correctly, the single cask was divided into four parts and each part was treated differently:
1. Chill filtered & coloured
2. Non chill filtered & coloured
3. Chill filtered & non coloured
4. Non chill filtered & non coloured
As an additional surprise for the participants, the whisky served was a 1996 Imperial, which is a closed distillery!
A very educational and fun masterclass. And the result? The majority selected 4. Non chill filtered & non coloured as their favourite dram of the evening!

Hong Kong’s newest society celebrated its inauguration at Hoi King Heen Restaurant with an exclusive line-up of spirits. Three brand ambassadors from Europe were invited to showcase their very exclusive whiskies to the society. A.D. Rattray previewed one of their upcoming releases in the Vintage Cask Collection: Cragganmore 1986. Asta Morris presented its newly released Glenburgie 18 years and BOX Distillery shared a globally sold out peated whisky: Early Days 002. In addition to the whiskies, The Fine Spirits Society treated its members with a Single Cask Rum, The Wild Parrot, and a Hors d’Age cognac by Famille Vallein Tercinier. By mixing & matching the spirits with the incredible menu by Chinese Executive Chef Leung, the members enjoyed a cozy and sophisticated dinner.
